We had an easter egg hunt on Sunday afternoon in my parents’ back yard.

Gavin liked the basket….

and the eggs…

but he liked to put them back where he found them and tipped them out of his basket. He had a good time and we enjoyed watching him. The rest of us had to finish the egg hunt though. One hidden egg would have been a perfectly fine egg hunt according to Gavin.

Gavin is a big brother! He doesn’t know it yet, but he has a very tiny brother or sister who is scheduled to make an appearance toward the end of September! I’ve always wanted him to have a sibling, as I think it’s one of the best presents/toys he could have. A friend to play with and share with and teach all his tricks. I know he will be a fabulous brother and am looking forward to seeing them together when the baby is here, in the outside world.
We are planning to find out the gender this time, instead of waiting like we did last time. Mostly because we’re hoping it will make it easier for Gavin to grasp, if we can call the baby he or she instead of it and maybe even by name before the birth.
Chris has coded in a couple tickers that I picked out, one for Gavin’s birthday and one for Baby X’s development. (Baby X is our nickname for #2, since Gavin is Baby G and we don’t know the first letter of this one’s name yet.) The ticker gives a little bit of info on what the baby’s up to inside. Scroll all the way down to the bottom to see them. Hope you enjoy!
i created an account/page on www.flickr.com. mostly because my digital photo printer at work is out of supplies and we wanted something/someplace to print pictures that are more recent than, oh, xmas 2005…so the cool thing is if you make an account and add yourself as a friend/family of me/us, then you can order photos yerself. w00t.

and one of him making a silly-happy face

and here are a few of our visit with Chris’ parents…opening late Christmas presents

and excitedly watching Grandma demonstrate the correct use of his new Sesame Street Guitar!
