We haven’t posted anything recently partially because I had a couple computer meltdowns (first my processor fan died, next my hard drive died). Now that my computer is back up and running, we’ll be uploading pics from the summer. It’s almost the new school year, after all, with Gavin heading into first grade (!!!) and Lilah starting preschool!

this is just a quick note to say that we’re working on the kidsblog.  i’ve uploaded the site to a new server so it should load faster now, which is good considering how much multimedia content we put up here.  ever the intrepid technologist, gavin got a digital camera for christmas, and has been actively photographing his world.  so, hopefully in the next few weeks i will be setting up a new photoblog to showcase gavin’s photography.  the proposed title is that looks like it was taken by a 3-year old! — gavin’s photoblog.  i’m going to take a bit more of an active role in keeping the blog updated which will hopefully mean more stuff, more often.  

don’t worry, there are pics, we just need to get them all together and will be posting them soon!

gavin got a little matchbox car for christmas this year and decided to use small puff cereal pieces as the driver and passenger, which lilah has been eating out of the car.  then gavin asks for more cereal people for his car.  we’ve been very entertained.

Lilah has been hugging and rocking her baby doll tonight.  Very sweet!

Gavin likes to make sure that Lilah gets her juice too and will point to the kitchen and tell me “juice”… “wawah” to make sure I take care of her too.

Lilah has been saying what sounded suspiciously like “Mama” for a while now.  In the last couple of weeks, it’s become undeniable that she is talking!  She says “Daddy”, “Mama”, “uh-oh”, “no”, “hat” and something that sounds like it’s supposed to come out to be “Gavin”.  She also signs “hat” and “more” in ASL, nods her head yes, and claps.

Gavin is using several word phrases more and new words everyday. He really likes singing too.  His favorite new words this week are “dragon”, “pasta”, “circle” and “color”.
